Our most recent order from Hoffman this month was more about special orders and restocking. Spring is a tough time with cash flow so we didn't order a lot of new items but we have a few to share with you.

If time at the cottage brings peace and serenity to you than Stoney Creeks newest design "Serenity Prayer Cabin" is perfect.

A fabric order arrived today and as usual a number of the fabrics we ordered were backordered again! However, there were a couple of nice little designs as part of this order and we'd like to share a couple of items with you. Check them all out by clicking the date above.

Brand new from Mirabilia is this beautiful Old World Santa, measuring just 8" x 11" and fully stitched in the merriest shades of red and gold, his Nordic mittens holding sparkling gifts wrapped in shiny bows.

From Mill Hill, two wonderful Button and Bead kits, Covered Bridge and getting ready for Halloween, Halloween is a Treat.

We've added a few more colours of DMC Color Variations. Some real nice colours have been added and we wanted to share them with you. We must tell you at this point that since we are obligated to purchase from the Canadian Distributor for DMC and they have decided not to carry these threads as part of their inventory at this point, whenever we order them they will be by special order from the distributor. Today our autoship from Lizzie Kate arrived which means the final two designs in her new 4 part Series called Less = More. These final two designs are Talk Less, Say More and Hate Less, Love More. They can be stitched on their own or combined into one design using Lizzie Kates complimentary border chart available for download via PDF file. Combined it makes a beautiful classy sampler that packs a lot of meaning.

We have a number of new arrivals just processed including some kits, scissors and some great craft storage boxes. Here is just a few highlights:

For those who struggle getting your fingers into the small holes of embroidery scissors either because your fingers are a little larger than the holes or you suffer from arthritis, we have found these snips to be a wonderful alternative. Neale has been using one for several months now and loves them. We wouldn't suggest them for fine cutting like hardanger but for everyday thread cutting they are a great option.

We also have added a few new craft storage boxes all with their own great options:

This case is big enough to hold an 8" Qsnap, scissors, threads, all your project needs to take with you. It has really good locks and a handle for carrying. It also comes in clear.

This case has moveable dividers so you can lay it out the way you want it. Comes with strong snaps to keep the lid closed tight.

We have new items from Canadian Designer, Jeannette Douglas. Even before we could post these some went out the door so if you can be patient and we have run out of a pattern or a thread pack we will gladly place another order with Jeannette to get them in. We highly suggest using her thread pack for those that require them. They contain many specialty fibers that not every store can possibly carry and there are no DMC alternatives provided. Here are just a few highlights:

You'll also find a new series of small designs created to allow you to learn how to stitch on 32 count fabric and along the way learn some new specialty stitches as well. We have a couple of dated updates now online. One from March 16 highlighting a number of Needle Minders from Kelmscott and also from Puffin & Company, Needle Nannies and Scissor Pals. If you continually lose needles in your chair or on the floor and in your husbands foot and love nice little decorative accessories check these out. They attach to your stitching via a set of magnets and your needle when not in use stays safely in place. Then for March 20 we just posted quite a number of new releases that we picked up at the show but had sent from Hoffman Distributing. Among them are new Prairie Schoolers, Mirabilia, Stoney Creek, Blue Ribbon Designs, and a new designer for us Cross Stitching Art. Here are a few highlights:
