Pattern comes with 40 count silk gauze and complete instructions (using a variety of Gentle Art Sampler threads and Weeks Dye Works (DMC alternatives given)). If you haven't tried stitching on silk gauze you might be surprised how easy it is to see the holes. And, Linda Stolz gives great instructions on how to sew the gauze into a piece of fabric so that you can stretch in an embroidery hoop ready for stitching.
