Open Stitch Afternoon - Every Thursday from 1-3 pm we have an open stitch time. Bring a project and join other stitchers for a fun time of stitching, talking, getting help or shopping if you wish. We have a great group who come out each week and you would make a welcome addition to the group.
Sit & Stitch Night - Join us the third Wednesday of each month from 7 - 9 pm throughout the winter, weather permitting, for a great evening of stitching and comraderie. Next stitch night is May 15.
Stitching Retreats:
Each year we run two great retreats. Our Fall Retreat (in October) is a teaching retreat but the atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. Our Spring Getaway (February) is just that! A wonderful getaway to gather with other stitchers and get some wonderful stitching time away from the hustle and bustle of life. Both retreats take place at the beautiful Brentwood on the Beach Bed & Breakfast on the shores of Lake Huron. With amenities like a salt water indoor pool, sauna and whirlpool, warm and cozy fireplaces and great meals combined with some solid stitching time you are sure to enjoy your weekend. For more details on price and space availability call Kathy 519.685.1444 or email us threadneye@bellnet.ca
At our last Fall Retreat, October 2012 stitchers had a super time finishing several projects over the weekend. 19 ladies spent the weekend, learning, stitching, relaxing, eating, laughing and chatting and had a blast. Here are just a few pictures.
Friday night started with work on a Just Another Button company kit called a Button Buddy. Great for keeping needles and marking pins parked.
The food is always great at The Brentwood and the dining room is a delightful place overlooking Lake Huron.

There is also a wonderful classroom area with comfy chairs and where much of the stitching takes place over the weekend.

This years project was a huck pillow design on finished pillow forms. Each stitcher had the opportunity to choose their own colour fabric and then work on the design throughout the weekend. For many it was the first time doing huck, for others a nice reintroduction to this beautiful style of needlework. Here are some of the finished pieces.
