Since we have not 'weighed every item in our inventory', when you place an order, a shipping charge will automatically be guestimated according to the table below and added on to your order by our system. If you are in Canada that charge will come up as $10.00. In most cases, this will be NOT be your actual shipping charge. Please be assured that we 'hate handling fees' as much as you do and so if the postal charges are less than what is quoted, we will reduce the charge accordingly. If the charges are significantly more, we will e-mail you to have the charge approved before shipping. For example, if you only order one pattern or a few floss these usually mail for around $2.50 - $3.00. Larger items like balls of pearl cotton or other accessories become parcels and cost around $10.00 with recent rate increases. The same will apply to special delivery situations such as international shipping. |
Once we receive your order, it will be processed within 48 hours. If any items ordered are not in stock we will inform you right away and you may choose to complete the order as is or wait until we can fill the order in it's entirety. Items that are back-ordered (i.e. out of stock) or special orders will be shipped as soon as those products arrive. We have implemented this policy in order to keep our shipping rates as low as possible. Please be advised that we order from many different distributors and designers and in some cases a special order may take up to a couple of months to arrive in our store or may come to us backordered in which case we must wait until the distributor restocks. We do our very best to get your order in as soon as we can and will keep you updated on the status of your order. Remember that this site only lists a portion of the items that we carry in stock at our store so if you don't find it here don't hesitate to call us. If you find a product with this symbol next to it
it means we are presently out of stock but will probably restock it in the future. If you want to make sure that we get it in, make sure to email us or call us with your special order request. All prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Although we try to keep our prices as listed, events can happen beyond our control. We reserve the right to change prices without notice. Our site is set up for secure shopping. You may select items for purchase and complete the transaction at which time we will receive an automatic notice of your order. We will then follow up by phone or email to confirm your order. *The oversize package charge will not appear on your online bill - we will inform you by email when required. Oversized packages include bulky items like pearl cotton balls, multiple packages of beads, multiple skeins of floss, spools of thread ie. Kreinik, Accentuate, Vikki Claytong hand dyed silks, accessories and hardware. Unless your order can be sent in a flat first class envelope please be prepared to incur the oversize package charge. Please also note that large, heavy items like lights or stitching stands will be charged according to actual shipping costs plus a handling fee and we will contact you prior to shipping to confirm that cost.
PLEASE NOTE as noted above:
We reserve the right and will always reduce the initial first class fee if the package is small enough to ship at a cheaper rate. This applies to patterns, small amounts of thread and fabric that can be placed in an envelope and are no thicker than 20mm. We make every effort to do this for our customers. Orders that are thick enough or large enough and need to be sent as a parcel usually cost around $10.00 and will be sent Expedited Parcel with in Canada via Canada Post.
We do not ship back orders separately to the United States or overseas.
Payment Policy
We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard (in North America only) or money order (in the case of a money order your order will not be shipped until we receive payment).
For international orders, an International Money Order will only be accepted. Items will be shipped only when the money order has cleared the bank.
Stitch Counters Club
If you are a member of our Stitch Counters Club and have a "Shopping Spree" Certificate to redeem, you can do so here online when you check out. Just remember to put the Certificate number in the Special Instruction area. Also remember that the certificate can only be used once, your purchase must be for more than the $20 value as no store credits will be issued.
Return Policy
We give no cash refunds, only store credit. There will be no returns or exchanges on printed or copyrighted material, canvas, fabric, thread, opened/used items, sale items or special order items. All other items must be returned within 30 days of purchase in its original packaging, in saleable condition (pet hair & smoke free) and accompanied by the original receipt.
Also note that all stitching stands, and lighting accessories are warranted by the manufacturing company and all warranty claims must be made through the manufacturer. While we will do everything in our power to help with your claim, we will not be held responsible for any claims that manufacturers deny.
